Finished poster

I finally created my poster, it was late and was not able to make it to group presentation. I still created this presentation because I felt that our team needed this because need a form of advertisement to make our seem more realistic but mainly to develop an understanding of what it would be like to try and get yourself know in the professional world of animation.

It hasn't made the project move forward because were already done weeks ago but it has added another form of establishment for our company to make it seem legit in what it does and that our company was a work place anyone could trust when looking for any animation work.

I used a lot of Olly Mosses work for inspiration because I like the style in which he presents his work and I felt that that his form of presentation would suit what I was trying to do because I wanted to communicate feeling through the colours that I used, I felt a multi built coloured  background for the character would do that.

This went well because most people I showed said they really like the design work and the colours worked well together, presentation wise my poster was ace.

business cards

I  have developed and finalised my business cards to day, reason for developing my business cards is because I want to make my business seem real, I want to treat this work as if I am a real working professional and I think creating business cards would be a great way of advertising my self. This helped me progress onwards with my work because it provided me with a platform to build for information and also contributed to helping me develop a continuous theme through out all my other pieces for this brief. I looked at other business cards on the internet for inspiration on how to layout by business information on my card. It went well because I managed to complete it and the presentation and out come was good.

I decided on the image based on my idea of being a animation company which creates animation  clean and smooth in motion which is where I got the idea of using a crystal as a symbol for my company because it communicates the idea of me finish a animation to a perfect standard to the point where it will be pretty and clear in its depiction, the colours I chose where to accompany the idea of this logo, I decided I wanted them to be relaxing and cool colours so I chose different shades of blue because they make my logo feel a lot cooler, soft, warm and friendly in appearance. i want people to peeled warmed by my company based on its layout and colour, they need to look at this business card and say wow and how they will look into hiring for work they need doing.

Ident re-developed

I worked on the development of my intro again, reason being because it was very weak in its appearance and lacked motion, the presentation was very basic because it just used the same means of animating for each scene which gave the animation a boring out come. I added background to the scene to make look like more was going on, it helped my work move on and I was able to go on and develop artwork around my logo and ident because this animation presented me with a theme I could follow and develop for the rest of the work I do in order to create a better for and more relative form of branding for my self with a colour scheme and theme.

this task has gone well because I have shown a few people the ident and they all were happy with the motion and the way the animation came together as one pieces, it was said to be very symbolic and iconic in relation to the crystal icon produced along with its colours, everything was link as a form of branding.

Official animation with sound

I have worked on producing my final animation with sound, I have worked on this title sequence today because I want to establish a form of identity now to get my self know before setting foot into the open working world, doing this ident has made my project move forward because it has provided me with a base to build my identity from, which I can now push further into a potential company for future business. I personally developed my own music because I want my logo to be something I have produced all by myself so it could be said that it is a signature stamp of my own because I have put all the work time and effort into it. Working on this animation worked out very well because I was able to discover some new tools and techniques I could potentially use to help add finishing touches to my ident animation work.

Thumbnails

   

To day I developed some thumbnails for my ident logo, reason for this was because I needed to create personal logo which communicated who I was a practising animator so I could get used to marketing and branding my self. Thumbnailing my Logo has helped work load move forward because it has provided me with a theme which I could work with and develop further into and actual identification for me as a practising animator and my logo is now fully established and ready for animating. For inspiration I looked at other logos to find out what they use symbolically, what and what made these logos different. I was mostly looking at other looks to help me develop my own sense of style which would distinguish my from other competition in the world of animation. I leant that logos can designed anyway you want them but they need to be distinguishable and identifiable by a style which is related to you.

I have called my freelancing company Crystal Clear because I want to show my target audience that my studio is very set on making sure that what ever piece work is produced will look perfect both in appearance and motion which is why I am linking it to the idea of a crystal because I believe the end work my company will produce would be clear, tidy and clean in its presentation.

Experimentation

To day I watched tutorials based on AfterEffects to help me develop an Idea of what technique I was going to use in order to create by very own ident. I watched these tutorials to help get a sense of the possible techniques I could use when coming to animate my ident, I was mainly looking to see if there were any effects which interested me and suited my logos appearance/particular design.Doing this has made my work move forward and in the right direction because I was able to find animated styles which suited my ident logo and has provided me with a library of effects which I can potentially used to give my animated footage nice finishing touches. I have learnt how to both find the library of effects and was able to use these effects after watching this tutorial, this specific  tutorial has showed me how to use the stroke tool, this tool alone is very useful for my animation because I can use it as tool to mask and  reveal both the text and images in my logo so it slowly transitions and appears on the foreground of my animation.
