We learnt about the importance of green screening and how it is used in the movie making industry the main focus for this induction was lighting and how it should be tackled when working with a stop motion object in the for front of a green screen sheet. Main thing I learnt was that there are many views to take pictures from when using green screen and most of all how you must avoid shadow in on your screen as it can result in poor display of your scene when reviewing the film content.
Things that must be focused on when using Green screen is the lighting most of all because it gives your film life and makes clearer for the viewer to see and can be used as a source to represent day and night. The positioning of is also important for the way that you want to view your set, moving the camera back is called a fall out and is very useful for panning out of a scene and allows more light to feed into the camera and the set it self.
Three different cameras are what provide the light you have your ; Edge light, Fill light, Key light which are all used for the same purpose but are considered to be different for quality, the fill light fills in shaded spaces on a set which you don't need, Edge light provides bright light from the side to hit the object in the centre and the Key light gives you the spot light, the edge and fill lights are both regarded as the both most powerful lights out of three from first to second.
Last but not least the green screen is must important for adding background effect and projection for movies and scenes if and object along with the green screen is the same colour, then this is a major problem and can effect the background projection because it will result in the projected image interfering with both the model and set along with the green screened background, so what ever is going to be used for a set needs to be anything but green.
I found this whole experience and learning very interested, grasped the understanding how screen screen is used and why but I don't feel this tutorial will be of any use to me because I don't plan to use green for effect, I regard my self as both mainly digital and traditional so I will not be looking to had create sets, I will look to construct these by computer. I am still glad i have gathered this knowledge as something to remember for any point I do end up needing screen but for now it looks very unlikely.
